A minimum grade of “C-” is required in all courses counting toward the certificate, and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 is required to complete the certificate.

Students completing this certificate will be able to apply basic statistical concepts to summarize numerical and categorical data and to quantify and analyze uncertainty. They will be introduced to the Python programming language where they will be able to design computer algorithms to solve specific problems and write and debug code to implement problem solutions. They will also be able to implement basic programming skills using R to extract, manipulate, summarize, and visualize data. EPCC Approved New Program - starting fall 2026 |
