Dyslexia Graduate Certificate

A minimum of 15 graded credit hours.

A minimum grade of “C-” is required in all courses counting toward the certificate and a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.00 is required to complete the certificate.

All certificate courses must be taken at EOU unless transfer courses are approved by program coordinator. S/U courses may not be elected for program requirements. [Online only certificate]

Prerequisites for this certificate: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Related Field.

Required Certificate Courses: 15 credits

Complete the following 15 credits required for the Dyslexia Certificate:

ED 590 - Foundations of Literacy Development & Dyslexia Credits: 3
ED 591 - Language, the Reading Brain & Dyslexia Credits: 3
ED 592 - Literacy & Dyslexia Assessment Credits: 3
ED 593 - Structured Literacy & Dyslexia Intervention Methods Credits: 3
ED 594 - Field Placement for Assessment and Intervention of Dyslexia and Other Reading Difficulties Credits: 3

Total credits required for certificate: 15

If the requirements for the certificate are not met at the time of graduation, the certificate will not be awarded.
