Post-Baccalaureate Accounting Certificate

A minimum of 48 graded credits with a minimum of a “C-” or better for all courses counting in the certificate and a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 to complete the certificate. 

Students must complete a minimum of 12 of the 48 credits from the College of Business at EOU.

Students must complete the following prerequisite courses before declaring the certificate.

This certificate is designed for students who intend on sitting for the CPA exam, who have earned a baccalaureate degree in an area other than accounting or graduated with less than the 225 quarter credit hours required to sit for the CPA exam and need a minimum of 12 credits in required accounting courses listed on the certificate.

Certificate Eligibility: Students who intend on sitting for the CPA exam and A) earned a baccalaureate degree in an area other than accounting or B) graduated with less than the 225 quarter credit hours required to sit for the CPA exam and need a minimum of 12 credits in required accounting courses listed on the certificate.

To be eligible to enter the program, students must:

  1. Have earned a baccalaureate degree recognized by the EOU Registrar.
  2. Be formally admitted to EOU as a post-baccalaureate undergraduate student.
  3. Complete or have complete the prerequisite courses that are not part of the certificate.

Latest EPCC update - summer 2020

March 2023 EPCC - ACCT 383, 384 and 385 were increased from 3 credits to 4 credits increasing the certificate requirements to 48 credits
