Complete all institutional graduation requirements.
Interdisciplinary Studies is a program choice bachelors degree requiring 180 credits. Students can choose to do one of the following three options:
- TWO EOU MINORS
- ONE EOU MINOR & ONE MINOR FROM ANOTHER INSTITUTION:
- ONE EOU MINOR & INDIVIDUALIZED PLAN:
A grade of “C-” or better is required for each course counting towards the major and a cumulative GPA of 2.00 is required for completion of the major. S/U courses may not be elected for program requirements.
No more than 5 credits of practicum can apply in the upper division section of this major.

Option #1: Two EOU Minors
Two EOU Minors: This option will consist of picking two minors from any discipline offered at EOU. These must be selected from separate program fields.

Option #2: One EOU Minor & One Minor from another institution
One EOU Minor & One Minor from another institution: This will consist of picking one minor from any discipline offered at EOU and picking another minor from any other discipline offered at another regionally accredited university. To verify the minor is complete the Register’s Office will need a curriculum check sheet of the minor from the other institution, a letter from the institutions Registrar’s office stating minor requirements have been completed, and an official transcript from the other Institution(s) where course work is located for verification.

Option #3: Individualized Plan with One EOU Minor
Individualized Plan with One EOU Minor: This combines one EOU academic minor and a subject area of selected courses from other disciplines to form a coherent plan of study that is comparable to a minor. This plan is approved only after the submission of a proposal and course outline, which must be approved by the College of Arts, Humanities & Social Science Dean. At a minimum the student will need these requirements to have the dean look at their proposal. Proposal containing: 250- word rationale, indicating the connections among the courses and linking them to professional interests or career goals, and to co-curricular or extra-curricular interests.

Note:
Content: The Capstone project will be developed through consultation with the Capstone professor. The project may involve research leading to a written paper.
Process: The student will be guided to select a topic and prepare an outline with sufficient detail for faculty evaluation before beginning the Capstone project. The outline should document, in appropriate disciplinary format (APA, MLS, AMA, etc.), recent literature that will be included in the paper. A clearly stated thesis position should be included in the outline. Once the Capstone professor has approved the proposal, work on the project may commence. The student and the Capstone professor will work together to develop the project throughout the time period.
