BIOL 315 - GIS Analysis Credits: 4
An introduction to the tools and techniques commonly used for the visualization, manipulation, quantification, and analysis of vector-based (point/lines/polygon) datasets in a Geographic Information System (GIS). This course covers the fundamentals of GIS, using ArcGIS Pro software, including coordinate systems and projections, vector vs. raster datasets, creation and editing of geodatabase tables, geospatial calculations, surface prediction, and basic digital cartography.
