Mathematics Major

Complete all institutional graduation requirements.

Mathematics is a minimum of 72 (for BS) or 60 (for BA) credits required for the major. A grade of “C-” or better is required for each course counting towards the major and a cumulative GPA of 2.00 is required for completion of the major. S/U courses may not be elected for program requirements. [On-campus only program]

Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics complete the major with 72 credits.  

Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics complete the major with 60 credits. 

Lower Division Required Core: 28 (BS) or 24 (BA) credits

Students pursuing a BS degree complete all 28 credits from the list below:

Students pursuing a BA degree complete 24 credits from the list below: 

Upper Division Required Core: 24 credits

Upper Division Electives: 20(BS) or 12(BA) credits

Complete 20 credit hours of upper division mathematics courses for a BS degree:

Complete 12 credit hours of upper division mathematics courses for a BA degree:

Total credits required for major: 72 (for BS) or 60 (for BA)

72 graded credit hours are required for a Bachelor of Science/60 graded credit hours are required for a Bachelors of Arts
