AE 399 - Agriculture & Food Supply & Value Chain Field Study


Credits: 2

To better understand the impact and importance of all entities and systems involved with modern agriculture and food production and distribution a more in-depth investigation of the supply and value chain components is warranted. Students will visit and engage with various individuals and organizations that influence the entire agriculture and food supply / value chain. Visits may include production, processing, packing, distribution, and wholesale/retail marketing entities; policy and regulatory individuals/agencies, affiliated or support entities, and operations associated with distribution infrastructure. Travel and overnight stays will be required. Course can be repeated one additional time for credit.
