SOWK 500 - Social Work History & Theory Credits: 3
This course reviews the historical and ethical foundations of social welfare and social work, and social forces and ideologies that influence social welfare in the United States. The evolution of the profession and its inherent knowledge, values, skills and ethical standards are addressed. Focusing on generalist practice, social work theories, practice models, values and skills are applied to diverse case scenarios. Admission to the MSW Program required.
