Elementary Education IA Pathway

Complete all Institutional Graduation Requirements

Elementary Education [with Instructional Assistant (IA) Pathway] is a minimum 69 graded credit hour degree. A grade of “C-” or better is required for each course counting towards the major, but a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 is required for completion of the major. S/U courses may not be elected for program requirements. Program available in on-campus/online hybrid modality. This pathway is determined through a formal transcript review and with the College of Education professional Advisor.  

Students declaring the Elementary Education major must complete one of the following;

• An AAOT + AA Plus Content Area Pathway OR 
• The Multidisciplinary Studies Major  _{(double majoring in Elementary Education and Multidisciplinary Studies)}

NOTE: Prior to enrolling the ED 479 - Practicum For ESOL, candidates must clear the TSPC fingerprinting, background check, and PA1 or a current valid teaching license in the state of Oregon.
