SPED 414 - Collaboration, Teaming, and Consultation in Special Education Credits: 2
The purpose of this course is to introduce models, principles and practices of effective collaboration, teaming and consultation in school settings. Approaches, strategies, and methods for collaborating, teaming, and consulting with general educators, paraprofessional educators, administrators, related service providers, and families of exceptional learners are emphasized. Procedures for implementing cooperative instructional arrangements and providing staff development and parent education and guidance are included.
Prerequisites: Admission to program.
