SPED 323 - Reading & Writing Assessment and Instruction for Exceptional Learners I: Elementary

The purpose of this course is to increase the theoretical, experiential, content, and pedagogical knowledge of students in the domain of teaching reading and writing to a diverse body of elementary exceptional learners. Emphasis will be on the provision of effective, evidence-based methods for teaching and assessing decoding skills, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension to a broad range of exceptional learners.

Prerequisites: STAT 241 or STAT 243 Admission to Program.
