SCI 328 - Env Sci III: Ecosystems & Sustainable Resource Use w/Lab

Principles of ecology as it relates to natural resources and resource use. The course covers population genetics, speciation, biodiversity, mass extinction, pollution science, and ecosystem services. This knowledge base will allow the student to think critically about the effects of human interaction with the natural world. The lab will provide hands on experience that reinforces the concepts presented in lecture and provides the opportunity for independent experimentation. The course is designed to provide an integrated background in ecological resource use, and economic systems from an ecological perspective.

Prerequisites: SCI 227 .
